Rescue teams have reached most of remote areas of Bangladesh affected by one of the worst cyclones in recent years. the survivors that were left were short of food and water!.=[....One of the worst cyclones that have came to he shores of Banladesh was a cyclone called Cyclone Sidr who has killed more than 3,000 people. the millions of people who survived are now homeless. The Bangladeshi minister in charge of disaster management, Tapan Chowdhury, said they have received offers of $140m worth of international emergency aid. The government has now been able to make food drops to places which were not reachable immediately after the cyclone. Cyclone Sidr, brought winds of up to 150mph.It brought down power lines which destroyed communication and destroyed hundreds of crops which less'ended there food. 500,000 homes have been destroyed, and 845,000 households have been affected. Bangladesh's Red Crescent society says up to 10,000 may have died. Tens of thousands of survivors are now struggling are now struggling for food, water, medicine and other supplies.
My Opinion
i think this article is important because people should think about what they have what others dont. Be proud of th house you live in and the food you have that if you dont want you give to your dog or put in the trash. Cherish your life and give thanks that you live in La where no storms or snow comes this way..(well i wish snow came cuz i neva felt it before)
