Wheelchair bomber kills 3 in Iraq police station

UM..A crippled old guy who entered a police station in a wheel chair carrying a bomb. The police officers searched him and didnt bother to search his wheel chair. Under the wheel chair was a "sticky bomb." He did a suicide attempt and killed himself with 3 police officers, and 1 of them being a commander. Also 9 were wounded from the blast

In london, paul mcCartney and Heather Mills go to court to make agreements on the divorce. The fight is over the money of the former Beatles, which is fight over 1.6 billion dollars. The court is to be judged by Justice Hugh Bennett which will be behind closed doors, and the terms of any settlement would not become a public record unless it moved to the Court of Appeal, or either of the parties chooses to reveal details. The estimate is that Heather is going to receive about 100-200 million dollars

Turtle Swims From Indonesia to Oregon

In Bangkok, Thailand a leatherback turtle was tracked swimming from the coast of the Papua, Indonesia to Oregon. Researchers say that this may be longest trip for breeding and feeding sites. In 2003, they tried to track nine turtles but the batteries gave out. The little turtle traveled a 12,774-mile journey, and took it 647 days.

Officer, gunman among 5 dead in L.A. standoff

In Lose Angeles a man shut him self inside the house after telling police he had killed three relatives. After telling them, he then opened fire on SWAT. Five people, including an officer and the gunman were killed. The shootoff began at 9 p.m. Wednesday night in a house in the San Fernando Valley. Six hours later, police threw tear gas into the home and hit it repeatedly with a battering ram. Less than 90 minutes later is seemed as if the house was on fire

Accidental drug mix killed Ledger

Heath Ledger died of an accidental overdose of six different types of medicines, new york officials say. Ledger who appeared on the movie Broke Back Mountain was found dead in his apartmend in Manhattan. He also stars in the upcomming move in Batman: the dark knight who he plays as the Joker. The pills that he took were painkiller Oxycontin and anti-anxiety drugs Valium and Xanax. Ledgers's accidental death is now a caution to the dangers of combining drugs. Also they found painkiller ibuprofen and sleeping pills, Restoril and Unisom.

France unveils super-fast train

In France, they are unveiling a new high-speed train made b Alstom. The Automotrice Grande Vitesse, which is also called the, AGV. The train can travel up to 224mph which is powered by motors under each carriage. The train now allws to carry more passesngers since it doesnt have locomotives now. The new AGV is set to travel 600 miles in 3 hours which is a new record.
